TB awareness week -3rd TB marathon scheduled for 1st September; public urged to know their TB status

The Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Henry Mwebesa, is urging the general public to regularly screen for tuberculosis (TB), know their TB status, and start treatment early for better health outcomes. The five-day campaign will focus on door-to-door community TB screenings, particularly in hot spots like slums and fishing communities, to identify those affected and link them to treatment. Funds raised from the TB run will be used to support the isolation ward at Iganga Hospital.
