Tech Consultant Discusses AI’s Role in Good Governance for International Day of Democracy

A local Tech Consultant has been weighing in on this year’s theme for the International Day of Democracy which focuses on the importance of Artificial Intelligence as a tool for good governance. UN Secretary-General António Guterres in a message to mark the observance says that “AI has the potential to enhance public participation, equality, security, and human development” but he also expressed concerns about the potential dangers of the technology and its potential negative impacts on democracy.
