A Barbados double National in cricket will soon be off to represent the country, and he's now better equipped to do so. Micah Greenidge, who has been selected for both the Barbados Under-17 and Under-19 cricket teams, has received a new bat from Parliamentary Representative of St. Philip South, Indar Weir. Greenidge, who will be heading to St. Vincent and the Grenadines with the Under-19s, received the bat ahead of the trip, with his mentor Patrick Waithe present. Minister Weir says Greenidge is very deserving of the assistance. He says he and his Constituency Branch President, Andrew Glasgow, are always on the look out to assist the talented sportspersons in the constituency. Greenidge is looking to not only perform well, but to make a name for himself, especially in the West Indies Rising Stars Men's Under-19 3-day and 50-overs championship, where the Windies Under-19 world team is selected from.
