Tension Mounts on Eve of International Women's Day as BJP Women Leaders Arrested

On the eve of International Women's Day, tension escalates in Bengal as top BJP women leaders, including Locket Chatterjee, Organic Mitra, Paul Bharati Ghosh and Falguni Patra, are preventively arrested by the Bidhannagar Commissionerate Police. The BJP supporters respond by staging a Dharna at the New Town police station. The leaders were on their way to Sandesh Khali to interact with women who were allegedly harassed, but were stopped 60 kilometres before reaching their destination.
