‘Terrible’: Children unable to return to school as southern Lebanon remains a warzone

AIJAC Executive Manager Joel Burnie has described the situation in Lebanon as “terrible” as children are unable to return to school due to the nation’s south remaining a warzone. “Since Hezbollah started its launch of rockets and drone attacks in the north on October 8th … about 75,000 to 90,000 residents of the north – a five kilometre buffer zone between Lebanon and Israel – have been evacuated from their homes,” he told Sky News Australia host Gabriella Power. “They’ve been living in temporary accommodation in hotels ever since the 8th of October.”
