During an investigation update on Tuesday, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officials revealed that the suspect responsible for the Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside of a Trump Hotel on New Year’s Day had a six-page “manifesto” on his phone – on top of previously-released letters and an email. LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren said the suspect’s manifesto included “a variance of grievances and constant evolutions of his plans or intents of what he wanted to do,” highlighting that he was “super high on weed and drinking,” as well as his issues with the current political administration. Koren added that the suspect, Matthew Libelsberger, also wrote that “that he has graphic encounters from his military experience that replay in his head over and over and that now he feels like he's a shell of a human being with nothing to live for." Investigators also found evidence that Libelsberger used ChatGPT to help guide him through making the explosive he used to detonate the Cybertruck. Last week, LVMPD officials had said they believe the suspect’s self-inflicted gunshot and detonation of the vehicle were "simultaneous."
