THA Minority: THA Budget Is Empty Promises

The 2024/2025 Tobago House of Assembly budget presentation is being labelled a failure by the Assembly’s Minority. Minority Leader Kelvon Morris told the media that Chief Secretary Farley Augustine presented a regurgitation of previous budget estimates. Commenting on the 5.8% requested, Mr. Morris said the Chief Secretary is aware that over the years Tobago’s allocation has been in the vicinity of 4.03%. He said, though, Tobago requires more and the THA can develop creative ways to effectively utilise the allocation.
