09/02/24
Sky News

Drug deaths are at their highest-ever in England and Wales. The latest figures from 2022 show over 3,000 people died - about the same number as people who die from stomach cancer - though a lot of these are preventable. Some think overdose prevention centres are the answer - but the UK government is strongly opposed, and have funded a drone trial delivering anti-overdose drug, naloxone, instead. Sky's Marnie Gill goes inside a drug consumption room in Paris and meets those on the frontline here in the UK.
