Panda enthusiasts flocked to the zoo to visit them on the opening day of their new pavilion. Ge Ge was born in 2003 at the Hetaoping Wolong Panda Center and moved to Tianjin in 2018. Xi Le, whose name means "peaceful and joyful," was born at the Ya'an Bifengxia Panda Base in 2013 and moved to Tianjin in 2015. Last year, she became a social media darling for her lively character and viral clip when she slipped off a bamboo chair.
