Tightening rules

Attorney General Dale Marshall has addressed concerns about the quality of service provided by some lawyers. He says the Legal Profession Act is being amended to tighten the rules and make these professionals more accountable to their clients. According to Mr Marshall, the Bar Association is expected to complete its review of the amendments before yearend. He made it clear that the Government nor the Barbados Bar Association condones misconduct on the part of lawyers.
