RMIT Senior Lecturer in Tax Dr Venkat Narayanan shares tips on maximising your tax return. “What I suggest is there’s obviously work-from-home type of deductions, a lot of people can claim, if you have an investment property there is a number of things you can claim,” Dr Narayanan told Sky News Australia. “The golden rules are  you must have incurred the expense, you must have proof of the expenditure, and it should be related to your job.”
