Tom Cruise abseils off stadium roof in Paris Olympics closing ceremony

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise on Sunday (Aug 11) rappelled from the roof of the Stade de France into the closing ceremony for the #Paris2024 Olympics. Cruise took the Olympic flag from Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass, who was with US gymnast Simone Biles, before speeding off in a dramatic handover that began the countdown to the Los Angeles Games in 2028.
