Tomb of former Syrian president set on fire

Videos circulating on social media showed people in Syria burning the tomb of former president Hafez al-Assad, the father of ousted leader Bashar al-Assad. A report from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) published on Wednesday (Dec 11) said that gunmen set fire on the tomb the night before.
