International and political studies expert Dr Minrun Liu says it is still “too early to know” the next steps Russia will take in retaliation to Syrian rebels. Militant groups in Syria are believed to have taken full control of the country’s second-largest city, Aleppo. Syria and Russia are stepping up their retaliatory strikes on forces in northern Syria after they lost control of the city.
