TOUGHER LEGISLATION COMING TO TARGET LITTERBUGS

The law is to be tightened to clamp down on littering, as part of a more robust response to the chronic problem. The Legal Affairs Ministry will be drafting the tougher legislation in coming months. Chairman of the National Solid Waste Management Authority, Michael Joseph is also pushing for a dedicated prosecutor to handle these cases.
