Trade facilitation: TZ eager to grow cargo volumes to Uganda

The Tanzania Ports Authority says it has begun speedy rehabilitation works on the majority of the major ports around Lake Victoria, used by Ugandan traders, such as in Mwanza South, North, Kempndo, and Bukoba. Eng. Juma Kijavara, the Deputy Director-General of TPA, also told a stakeholders' meeting held in Kampala that upon completion of these rehabilitation works, these ports will be able to handle large vessels.
