TRANSITION: NGO BUREAU MOVED UNDER MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS

The operations of the National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organizations will be executed under a department in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This follows Parliament’s decision to pass the bill for an act titled the Non-governmental Organizations Amendment Bill 2024. The move is part of advanced strategies to champion rationalization of government agencies and public expenditure which called for adjustments in the legal framework governing the affected entities
