The upcoming Spring Festival is another time for Chinese to join families on holiday. But travel is heating up as a global industry as China eases visa rules for inbound travelers, whilst other countries reciprocate as they attempt to entice Chinese visitors. China's own inbound tourism industry has room for growth as it only accounted for 0.5 percent of GDP in 2019. Foreign tourists visiting China can also contribute to the economy.
