Trudeau says this issue was his "one regret" as prime minister

After announcing his intention to resign as Canada's prime minister, Justin Trudeau said his “one regret” was not being able to introduce electoral reform. Trudeau said he had wanted to introduce a system of proportional representation, specifically ranked choice voting where voters can choose a second or third choice on the same ballot. However, he said it “wouldn’t have been responsible” to do so without the support of other parties.
