Trump 2nd assassination attempt: Suspect’s phone pinged cell towers nearly 1 month before arrest
Ryan Routh, the 58-year-old man accused in the apparent assassination attempt of former U.S. president Donald Trump, made another court appearance on Monday. Routh is believed to have waited for nearly half a day on the perimeter of Trump’s Florida golf course as part of his plot. And now, prosecutors are alleging the suspect’s phone pinged cell towers near the golf course and Trump’s home for nearly a month before his arrest. Routh is expected to remain jailed until his trial. It adds yet another layer to an election cycle that's quickly wrapping up, which still remains a competitively close race.
