Trump assassination attempts: House task force probes law enforcement at 1st hearing | LIVE

The House task force is holding its first hearing on assassination attempts against former president Donald Trump on Thursday, including when an individual was arrested after allegedly pointing a gun with a scope toward Trump's golf course at Mar-a-Lago while the former president was playing a round. Trump was injured when bullets grazed his ear at a rally in Butler on July 13 when would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire on Trump before being killed by return fire by the Secret Service. Trump was uninjured when Ryan Routh, 58, was spotted lying in wait at the perimetre of his golf course earlier this month. A Secret Service agent saw Routh and opened fire before Routh retreated to a nearby vehicle.
