Trump believed Hitler “did some good things,” ex-chief of staff John Kelly warns
There are new concerns for what a second Trump administration could look like, after his former chief of staff warned about comments the Republican candidate has made in the past. In multiple interviews, former White House chief of staff John Kelly has claimed former president Donald Trump believed Adolf Hitler “did some good things” and admired dictators. “He certainly falls into the general definition of a fascist, for sure,” Kelly said. “He's certainly the only president that has all but rejected what America is all about.” It's an explosive comment from deep within the former Trump administration that Trump's current team is denying. But Democratic candidate Kamala Harris’s team is leaning in, arguing it demonstrates why Trump is a threat. “This is a window into who Donald Trump really is,” Harris said on Wednesday. “In a second term, people like John Kelly wouldn't be there to be the guardrails.” Global’s Reggie Cecchini reports.
