Trump, Biden call for "smooth transition" of power in White House meeting

The icy relationship between U.S. President Joe Biden and president-elect Donald Trump appeared to begin a process of thawing on Wednesday, as the two met at the White House and Biden providing congratulations to Trump on his victory. Though a peaceful transition of power is historically the norm in the country's presidential transitions, the last election held in 2020 was an exception. Four years ago, when Trump denied his own loss, the Capitol was attacked and he left before inauguration. Global’s Reggie Cecchini reports.
