Trump campaign dialling back rhetoric to not risk ‘overplaying’ their hand

Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney discusses what the Republican election strategy could be in the wake of the failed assassination attempt on former US president Donald Trump. “There is always that risk that you overplay your hand in politics, and certainly, if anyone is going to overplay her hand, it is going to be Marjorie Taylor Greene,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News Australia. “What you are hearing coming out of the Trump campaign is that they want to dial everything back.”
