Speaking at a rally in Potterville, Mich. on Thursday, former U.S. president Donald Trump addressed recent controversy surrounding his appearance at Virginia’s Arlington National Cemetery, where he took a photo over the grave of a fallen soldier. The 78-year-old says a family “asked” him to do so. “They ask me to have a picture, and they say I was campaigning. The one thing I get is plenty of publicity. I don't need that. I don't need the publicity,” Trump said. Despite his campaign staff being warned about not taking pictures at a wreath-laying ceremony at the military burial ground earlier this week, Trump did so – triggering a wave of backlash for the action. The site’s rules “clearly prohibit political activities on cemetery grounds,” according to a U.S. Army spokesperson. During his speech, Trump went on to blame President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for the death of military soldiers in the U.S., saying, “Joe Biden killed their children by incompetence should have never happened. Kamala killed their children just as though they had a gun in their hand by gross incompetence and not one general or incompetent bureaucrat was fired for the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/10724638/trump-arlington-cemetery-incident-photos/ Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Like Global News on Facebook HERE: http://bit.ly/255GMJQ Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: https://bit.ly/2QZaZIB #GlobalNews #Trump #ArlingtonNationalCemetery
