At his Wisconsin rally on Wednesday, former U.S. president Donald Trump responded — both literally and figuratively — to a recent gaffe by President Joe Biden in which he mistakenly called Republican supporters “garbage.” Before taking the stage donning an orange reflective safety vest, Trump arrived at the Green Bay event in a waste collection truck. “I have to begin by saying 250 million Americans are not garbage,” the 78-year-old said in his opening remarks. “Last night, crooked Joe Biden finally said what he and [Vice-President] Kamala [Harris] really think of our supporters. he called them garbage. No way,” Trump said. “My supporters are far higher quality than crooked Joe or lying Kamala." Though Trump said he didn’t want to wear the vest in front of his 25,000-strong crowd, he said his team convinced him to after they told him it makes him look “thinner.” The business mogul’s latest costume comes just two weeks after he wore an apron and served fries at a McDonald’s in the Philadelphia region.
