Trump’s defense pick faces senators on Capitol Hill

US President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has met senators on Capitol Hill amid questions on his ability to effectively lead the Pentagon. Mr Hegseth has previously denied allegations of sexual misconduct as well as excessive drinking. Reports speculate Donald Trump is considering Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as a possible replacement for Defense Secretary.
