Trump’s sweeping tariff plans could have ‘some effects’ on Australia

CreditorWatch chief economist Ivan Colhoun discusses the "complex range of policies” put forward by Donald Trump relating to tariffs. The President-elect has threatened to impose 60 per cent tariffs on all Chinese goods entering the US, in a move some fear will also hurt Australia. “China is our biggest trading partner so anything that impacts China in a negative way will have some effects back into Australia as well,” Mr Colhoun told Sky News Australia.
