Trump slams ‘rigged, disgraceful’ trial

In his first comments on the verdict, Trump says he “didn’t do a thing wrong”. He accused Merchan, the judge overseeing the trial, of being “corrupt”. “I’m a very innocent man, and it’s OK – I’m fighting for our country, I’m fighting for our constitution,” he said as he left the courtroom in New York. “This was done by the Biden administration in order to wound or hurt an opponent, a political opponent. And I think it’s just a disgrace.
