Trump tariff will hurt both Canada and US, business leaders say

Business and political leaders in Canada say there will be pain if President-elect Donald Trump follows through on his pledge to impose a 25 per cent tariff on all Canadian goods, but they note the hurt will happen in his country as well. "If you're going to be imposing tariffs on everything that goes back and forth across the borders, you're going to raise the price on the things that you're selling to your own consumers," Political science professor Max Cameron pointed out.
