Trump will prove ‘effective and successful’ if he can control his ‘personal inclinations’
Former Howard government minister Peter McGauran says Donald Trump will be a “better president” when he enters the White House compared to his first term. Donald Trump will become the 47th President of the United States and serve a second term. “He will be much more familiar with the machinery and the instruments of power and the mighty departments of defence and secretary and commerce and treasury and so on,” Mr McGauran told Sky News Australia. “On the other hand, he is embittered in many ways, he has threatened to pursue his enemies within the Department of Justice and the legal system more generally. “If he can control his own worst personal inclinations, he could be a very effective and successful president domestically and internationally.”
