TV host criticises nine-minute-long Welcome to Country

Sky News host James Macpherson has torn into a nine-minute-long Welcome to Country held at Sydney’s Anzac memorial event. “Welcome to country of course is ubiquitous, everywhere you go there’s a welcome to country,” Mr Macpherson said. “Could you imagine going along to an event and sure there’s going to be a welcome to country, so you think it’s going to be 90 seconds maybe two minutes, and it's still going after eight and a half minutes.”
