Sky News host James Macpherson discusses Opposition Leader Peter Dutton and the Coalition releasing the “long-awaited” nuclear energy policy. The Daily Telegraph reported the Coalition’s nuclear energy project will cost $331 billion over the next 25 years and will be $264 billion cheaper than Labor’s renewables-only plan. Mr Dutton has promised to save Australians money and keep the lights on. “Labor's ideological obsession with renewables-only is destroying our energy grid and with it our standard of living,” Mr Macpherson said. “No country in the world has a power grid reliant wholly on sun and wind. You need baseload power to ensure reliability.”
