Two Pandas from China arrive to Washington, D.C.

Two giant pandas, Bao Li and Qing Bao, arrived at Washington Dulles Airport from China on Tuesday, Oct. 15, marking the return of pandas to the National Zoo less than a year after the previous pair departed.The zoo’s panda program dates back to 1972, a symbol of China-U.S. diplomacy. The pandas will undergo a 30-day quarantine and will debut to the public as soon as their animal care team feels the bears are ready to meet visitors, the zoo said.
