U.S. Defense Secretary underscores commitment to Philippines

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Monday (November 18) emphasized the United States' unwavering commitment to its defense treaty ally the Philippines, after the two countries signed an intelligence-sharing agreement in Manila. The Philippines has expressed confidence the alliance will remain strong under incoming U.S. president Donald Trump. Austin held bilateral meetings with Philippines Secretary of National Defense Gilberto Teodoro. They also participated in a groundbreaking ceremony as well as a military information Agreement signing ceremony.
