Uganda Airlines launches flight path sustainability project to address bird strikes
Uganda Airlines has unveiled the Flight Path Sustainability Project aimed at mitigating bird strikes on planes at Entebbe International Airport. During the project launch in Entebbe town, Uganda Airlines CEO Jenifer Bamuturaki stated that since resuming operations, the company has experienced six bird strikes involving both their CRJ 900 and Airbus fleets. Bird strikes pose a significant challenge to global aviation, costing the industry an estimated $1.2 billion annually. These incidents primarily occur during takeoff and landing, with up to 90% happening near airports. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda
