UGANDA REVENUE AUTHORITY'S APPEAL TO RESTORE BUDGET CUTS AND ENHANCE EFFICIENCY

Uganda revenue authority has asked parliament to re-instate the budget cut of 55.73 billion shillings on wage which is bigger than the gap of their current staff on pay roll. While presenting their financial policy statement of the 2024/25 were URA’s budget estimate is at 564 billion shillings, the commissioner general URA also asked parliament to approve their structure of 169 billion shillings to help improve efficiency and tax collection.
