Ugandan couples urged to register marriages

Couples have been urged to formally and legally register their marriages to protect their relationships and secure their futures, especially in the event of the absence or death of their loved ones. According to officials from the Uganda Registration Service Bureau (URSB), it is crucial for couples who marry in any recognized type of marriage to be registered, enabling them to be officially recognized as husband and wife. This facilitates the smooth succession of properties to their remaining family members in case of any unfortunate circumstances like death.
