Money lenders who operate under the Money Lenders Association of Uganda have asked members of parliament to act fairly when introducing laws that affect their trade. The call follows a directive by the State Minister for Finance, Haruna Kasolo, halting the issuance of licenses to online lenders and calling for a cap on interest rates charged.
