Ugandans set off for the late Mwalimu Julius Nyerere pilgrimage and memorial

The first batch of Pilgrims for the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere’s ancestral home at Butiama village Mwanza in Tanzania to commemorate his life as a Pan Africanist set off from Makerere Freedom Square at about midnight of Saturday. They travelled aboard Kira Motors to attend celebrations scheduled for Monday under the theme: ‘Espousing the Late Mwalimu Julius Nyerere’s Legacy and Enduring Values’.
