UK health officials criticised after claim about trans women's milk

Women’s Forum Australia’s Stephanie Bastiaan says the scientific data to support induced lactation in biological men to feed babies is "not there". This comes after a letter from the University of Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust claimed milk produced by trans women is comparable to that of biological women. “The scientific study they’re basing this on actually used a biological woman who had been taking hormones to present as a male who was then trying to induce lactation because the drugs had limited her milk supply,” Ms Bastiaan said. “One example with a biological woman, and they’re now saying that men can do it too,” she told Sky News Australia. “It is absolutely insane.”
