UK Labour ‘betrayed Israel’ through its restrictions on arms sales

Israeli MP Sharren Haskel says the UK Labour government “betrayed Israel” with its decision to ban 30 arms export licenses to the country. This move was made apparently because of what the UK Government called a ‘clear risk’ that the equipment might be used to commit ‘serious violations of international humanitarian law’. Ms Haskel told Sky News host James Macpherson that Israel is going through a “difficult time” fighting its war against Hamas and the UK’s decision puts a roadblock in between the two nations' relationship.
