A historic bill which would legalise assisted dying in England and Wales has been voted in favour by the UK parliament. The law would allow terminally ill adults with less than six months to live the right to choose their death. The request must be signed off by two doctors and a high court judge. However, some opponents warn vulnerable people might be compelled to end their lives sooner out of fear of being a burden to their families.
