Uli Sigg and Chinese contemporary art
For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video Uli Sigg, the world's largest collector of Chinese contemporary art, has over the decades tried to get to the heart of China, whether as a journalist, a businessman or the Swiss Ambassador to China. Sigg donated a huge portion of his Chinese contemporary art collection to the M+ Museum in Hong Kong, which now has become the centerpiece of the region's West Kowloon Cultural District. He continues his journey with Chinese contemporary art through endeavors like the Sigg Art Prize to help others feel the pulse of the real China. After supporting the most prominent presence of Chinese contemporary art at the Venice Biennale in 1999, he has remained enthusiastic about connecting more Chinese artists to the world stage. We caught up with him at Art Basel Hong Kong, which he believes is the premier art fair in Asia.
