UN Security Council discuss North Korea and its latest ballistic missile launch | LIVE
The United Nations (UN) Security Council will convene on Monday to discuss North Korea and its Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM). North Korea’s state-run television has aired footage of what it claims to be last week's test of a new ICBM — dubbed Hwasong-19. The new solid-fuel missile reportedly flew the highest altitude (7,000 km) and the longest duration (86 minutes) in the history of North Korean test missile launches. It flew about 1,000 km before splashing down in the ocean, between Japan and Russia. North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and his daughter were seen watching the missile launch on-site, near Pyongyang. Though concerns remain about North Korea's ability to guide its latest ICBM — and simultaneously protect a nuclear warhead upon atmospheric re-entry — the Hwasong-19 is capable of striking almost anywhere in the U.S. For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/10841051/ukraine-russia-north-korea-troops-deploy-coming-days/ Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Like Global News on Facebook HERE: http://bit.ly/255GMJQ Follow Global News on X HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: https://bit.ly/2QZaZIB #GlobalNews #unitednations #northkorea
