UNFPA raises concerns over impact of gender-based violence
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has warned that Uganda stands to lose over eight billion dollars by 2030 if gender-based violence is not mitigated. And cases rising twofold in the same period which will have a serious economic impact on the country. On the other hand, Police which deals with the majority of gender-based violence has indicated that it includes family protection in its design despite the funding gaps.
