About 9 in 10 of Gaza's population are estimated to have been displaced by the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. Half of them are children. In Sudan, over 4.6 million children have fled their homes since April 2023 in the world's largest child displacement crisis. Children in conflict areas are deprived of their rights and denied humanitarian assistance. Ted Chaiban, UN assistant secretary-general and UNICEF deputy executive director, believes that change is possible. As someone with extensive experience in humanitarian work, Chaiban sees the progress that has been achieved so far. He sat down with CGTN's Tian Wei to discuss these conflicts and possible solutions.
