UNMA partners with ACCRCC to carry out research

Uganda National Metrological Authority has partnered with African Coalition of Communities Responsive to Climate Change, an NGO based in Kenya to conduct research on climate change, mental health and food security aiming at finding out the connection between three aspects. According to Dr. Rosalind Nkirote the Executive Director ACCRCC, the data collected will be able to bring out clearly the linkage between climate crisis, food insecurity and mental health so that it can inform policies in Uganda and the region. The climate change, mental health and food security research is being conducted in free countries which include Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia, it is noted that the findings will be disseminated in September.
