UPDF launch manhunt in Fort Portal to re-arrest escaped robbers

The UPDF at Mountain Division Headquarters Muhoti Barracks in Fort Portal City has launched a manhunt for three detainees who escaped from their detention facility on Wednesday. The escapees were civilians who were arrested in November 2023 for on allegations of aggravated robbery. They were scheduled to appear before a military court martial next month. Maj Bilal Katamba, the public information officer of Mountain Division and Operation SHUJJA confirmed the incident.
