US: Biden is heading to key Michigan bellwether county with goal of connecting with Black voters
President Joe Biden will travel to a Michigan bellwether county on Thursday as the Democratic incumbent looks to shore up support in the key battleground state ahead of November. Biden will be looking to energize Black and union-affiliated voters during his trip to Saginaw County. Bishop Hurley Coleman Jr., a longtime Saginaw minister, says he’s looking forward to Biden’s visit. “There's a lot of good stuff that this administration has done. And he knows that people need to hear it,” Coleman said. “President Joe Biden knows that if there is a place in America that he can tell his story to a people that need to hear it, Saginaw is that typical place.” Coleman’s parents were drawn to Michigan from the South by the promise of middle-class jobs in the booming automotive industry, an origin story shared by many Black families in the Saginaw community. #uselection #uspresidentialelections2024 #joebiden #trump Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
